Tate Rosner McRae (born July 1, 2003) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer. McRae caught the attention of RCA Records in 2019 after her original song "One Day" (2017) went viral on YouTube, subsequently releasing her debut EP, All the Things I Never Said (2020). McRae soon gained wider recognition after her song "You Broke Me First" became an international hit. In 2020, McRae was the youngest musician featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list. She is good friends with Olivia Rodrigo. She released her second EP, Too Young To Be Sad, in 2021 which had great success, being the most stremed EP of 2021 by a female artist. In 2022 she released her debut album, I Used To Think I Could Fly, and her sophomore in 2023, Think Later.

McRae had a passion for music and dancing since she could walk and talk. Her mom signed her up for dance lessons at the age of six and started training more intensely at the age of eight.

Voice Acting and Dance[]
McRae voice various characters in the television series Lalaloopsy until it’s end in 2015. McRae performed in many different competitions, gaining enough popularity to appear in a Walk Off The Earth music video. She performed at Justin Bieber’s Calgary performance, causing her to appear on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. McRae was featured in the thirteenth season of the television series So You Think You Can Dance, then appearing the Ellen Degenres Show again.
Music Releases[]
McRae starting posting covers and original songs to her YouTube channel which originally consisted of dance videos. The song One Day ending up becoming a viral hit. McRae was signed to RCA Records and started to release multiple standalone singles. Her first EP, All The Things I Never Said, was released in 2020 alongside a sold out tour. The lead single “Tear Myself Apart” was co-written by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell. In 2021, the song That Way starting going viral on the social app, TikTok.
McRae released the song You Broke Me First as the lead single for her second EP, Too Young To Be Sad, started going viral as well and was playing on pop radio constantly. The EP was extremely popular and McRae was named an Apple Music Upcoming Artist.
Her debut album I Used To Think I Could Fly featured hit songs such as “Feel Like S**t”, “She’s All I Wanna Be”, and “Chaotic”. It was not received well due to the songs sounding “too similar”, but it still ending up getting millions of streams. A year later, McRae released the lead single, Greedy, for her sophomore album, Think Later, which became a global success appearing all over social media and radio stations. The second and third singles experienced similar success gaining millions of streams. The album was received much better than her previous and it charted well.
