"I Think I Kinda, You Know" is an original song from the Disney+ show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, performed by Olivia Rodrigo as Nini Salazar-Roberts. This song was first featured in “The Auditions!”, the first episode of the show. It is performed in three different versions, one by Nini, the second by Ricky (played by Joshua Bassett) and the third as a duet by them.
Background[]
In the episode, the song was written by Nini to show her love for Ricky, which causes them to break up. Later on, Ricky performs a second verse as he auditions for Troy Bolton in East High's production of High School Musical. A duet studio version was released as a single and on the series soundtrack, combining both verses. An acoustic rendition of the duet was also released.

This and "Just For A Moment" are the theme songs for Nini and Ricky's romance in the TV show. This is the first song that is played on the show, and Nini wrote it to say to Ricky that she loved him, which made him panic thinking he had to say it back. After he lost her and seeing that he in fact loved her, he wrote a new verse and sang the song to her, finally being able to confess his love.

"I Think I Kinda, You Know" (Duet) was released as a single on November 8th, 2019, acompanied by a lyric video. On January 10, 2020, was released a Vevo acoustic performance of the song to promote the series soundtrack. The song was also played in carpool karaoke with the cast of the show, and had a cover performed by Matt Cornett on the Disney Sing-Along event on Disney Channel.
