Personal life[]

At 17, Roan began her music career by uploading four original songs to her YouTube channel, along with home-made music videos for each.

In 2017, Roan signed with Atlantic Records, and released EP "School Nights", showcasing a unique blend of pop and indie folk influences.

Her 2020 single, "Pink Pony Club", marked a major stylistic change from her older projects, drawing inspiration from 1980s synth-pop and early 2000s pop hits.

Later in 2020, she was dropped from Atlantic. In 2022, Roan started releasing singles independently, and created her single artworks, music videos, and merchandise with the help of friends. Her debut album, "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess," was released through Island Records. "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess" is a deeply personal and introspective work that solidified her place as a rising star in the industry.

The album garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following, establishing Roan as a promising new talent in the music scene. In 2024, Roan continued to make waves with her music, releasing Roan's first top-10 entry on the Billboard Hot 100, "Good Luck, Babe!".
